You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. We respect your privacy and will process your request promptly.

How to Request Deletion

Send an email to:

admin@dignitylabs.co.uk

Subject line: Account Deletion Request

Please include the following in your email so we can locate your account:

The email address you sign in with (so we can locate your account — this is held only in our authentication system, not in our app database)
Confirmation that you want your account and all associated data deleted

What Happens Next

We will verify your identity by confirming details associated with your account.
Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of your verified request.
You will receive an email confirming that your data has been deleted.

What Gets Deleted

Our app database contains no personal information — no names, emails, or phone numbers. Everything is linked to an anonymous ID. When we delete your account, we permanently remove:

Your authentication record — the only place your email exists, held separately in our authentication system
Your anonymous ID — the random identifier used in place of personal details
All data linked to that ID — including family memberships, check-ins, votes, and audit log entries

Once your authentication record is deleted, there is no way to connect any remaining encrypted data to you.

        Data stored only on your device — such as trusted contacts, cached scam alerts, PIN, encryption keys, and theme preferences — is not stored on our servers. You can remove this data by uninstalling the app.
    

Important Notes

If you are the admin of a family group, admin status will transfer to the longest-standing member before your account is deleted. If you are the only member, the family group will be deleted.
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Suracode again.
Encrypted safe words are stored as ciphertext that cannot be linked to you after deletion.

Your Rights

This process is provided in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) Article 17 (Right to Erasure), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and applicable data protection laws in all territories where Suracode operates.
